Moroccan

lunch in St nick's Market

Now I see

what people mean when they are in love with a city.

On our way home last night we came across a dance group practicing in @Bristol (it's like an open air studio with all the mirrored glass) at about midnight.

You wouldn't come across that in Leicester. Nor would you walk home down the riverfront.

Can't think straight

was our team name in the ' are you smarter than a hooters girl' quiz.
Ma Garlick send Rhys down with her debit card so she could treat us to an evening meal.
So she ended up treating us to a shit load of hot wings, quesadillas, a "side salad" and a bucket load of margaritas.

The quiz was pretty bizarre. It involve a fair bit of running and a lot of 'hmm I feel stupid' faces (we tried to conquer this by illustrating our answers. We hoped we could persuade them to give us more point with ahem our artistic talents)

This was our answer to 'what is oo-ology'

The answer was eggs.

This was our CORRECT answer to the slowest mammal

'How many wings does a bee have?' Rhys was convinced it was 8.

So what happens when you tie with another team? Rhys gets to stand on a chair and hoola hoop...he then wins and gets us free jagerbombs! Score!

The best part of hooters for me is that you get ALL your courses delivered at the same time AND you get a piece of bounty kitchen roll!

I can smell Garlick!

Rhys came down yesterday for a belated birthday Bristol bonanza.
We spent the day walking through parks, walking down the river, popped into the arnofini-drunk some cider (cider?!) on the harbour, ate some macaroons and went to @Bristol.

Blue valentine

I watched this film last night. It completely blew me away. It was completely beautiful and yet soul destroying.
I am completely obsessed with the idea of an 'epic love' and films feed this obsession.
This film shows the destruction of this 'epic love' in the most moving incredible way.
It is all I can think about today. Watch it!
